I currently really enjoying playing in a band in Winnipeg. It's rock and pop covers and it's a lot of fun.
I play organ, piano, keyboard. I'm not what you might call a 'proper musician'. I do have to work hard to learn the material but i especially enjoy finding just the right sounds to compliment the other band members.
My organ work when I was a kid means my left hand really only plays chords, which can be both limiting and also a gift depending on the song. Quick chord progressions are ok.
I've played live a couple of times now, not sure i ever relaxed but it sure is fun! Joining a band had been one of the most fun things I've done in a good while.

Influences
I like brit pop / rock from 90's and 00's. Things like Oasis, Travis, Stereophonics, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Elbow, Badly Drawn Boy, Supergrass, Pulp, James, Doves, The Verve, Red hot chili peppers etc...
I also like older stuff, Queen, ELO, ZZ Top etc..
I also like electronic and house music, The Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, Groove Armada, Massive Attack, Faithless etc...
Also a fan of Tragically Hip too....
