Hey! Musician living in Gatineau wanting to connect with other musicians to potentially start a new band or just play for fun. I have been playing guitar, piano and singing for over 20 years, mostly for fun. I am not a formally trained musician, but can play lots of styles and I learn new songs pretty fast. I joined a band about 5 years ago and we play about once a month in bars around town. This band only plays French Québecois music, so looking to expand beyond that.

Influences
My favourite bands of all time are tool and Bad Religion (I know this is an odd couple lol), but my taste are quite varied. Other bands that I love in no particular order; the Beatles, Led Zep, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Rush, Jethro Tull, Kiss, Muse, the Black Keys, Soundgarden, Greta Van Fleet, Pearl Jam, the Mars Volta, Coheed and Cambria, Sublime, Megadeh, older Metallica, System of a Down, A Perfect Circle, the Foo Fighters, Iron Maiden, RATM, Queen, Social Distortion, and lot more. What I do not like; all electronic genres (maybe beside Daft Punk) , rap, hip hop and country (I love Hank Williams Jr and the third tho).

EQUIPMENT
I have two Godin electric, a seagull acoustic/electric, a Rolland Fp-30x keyboard, a cheap Yamaha PSR E373, a couple of pedals (boss distortion, chorus and flanger and a nux plexicrunch), mic, stand, all sorts of cables (xlr, 1/4), SONICAKE ir amp emulator, flutes, harmonicas, gazous. I also have two amps (small 10 w Rolland and a 300 w peavy for voice and keys l) for practicing at home. Since the band l play with are full equipped, I never needed to invest in better amp, boards etc.
