My name’s Nolan, and I’m the singer/songwriter/guitarist of the band. I’ve written and recorded lots of material over the past 7 years. So the ability to write music is not an asset in the musicians I’m looking for. I have plenty of songs to go around. I am however looking for professional musicians who are creative when playing their parts, and enjoy a variety of different styles of music. As well, I’m looking for positive personalities and attitudes. Both on stage and as people. The personality aspect is very important to me as I’ve played with enough cynics and divas over the years. Also, I’m looking for musicians who are 30 (my age) or younger. And lastly, I’m looking for musicians who have aspirations to tour, record albums, and actually do this for a living. Believe me, it’s possible if you join this band.

I have an ocean of influences. But I’ll make a short list of Pink Floyd, Alice In Chains, Rival Sons, Oasis, R.E.M., Led Zep, RHCP, Wolfmother, Rush, Black Keys, and The Doors. There’s too many more to mention. I’m driven by the true spirit of rock and roll. And that’s where Plaid On Flannel’s integrity lies. To honour that tradition and create new sounds.
