What I'm looking for:
Drummer <-- most wanted
Bass player (and singer if possible)
Guitar player (and singer if possible)
(I want two front men me possibly being one of them)
I can play drums pretty well if a drummer is not available, but will switch to singing and guitar when we get a drummer.
I live in guelph with a couple roommates with a full setup in my basement. (Neighbors are fine as long as we don't play too late)
First off, i want to make a band that is different and better then anything out now. But you gotta start somewhere, so if you want this too, read my profile and make your decision.
My name is Griffin. I'm living in Guelph. Looking for a two frontman band, me being one of the frontmen. Hard rock is the direction i want to go in, as that's where my voice sounds best and it's what I'm most passionate about.
Been playing guitar since I was a kid (like 8/9)[ukulele before that but i don't think that counts], started drums a few years ago and had singing lessons for just over 2 years. I still am not amazing at singing, but I am getting better rapidly and I think I am still pretty good.
I have experience in bass, having played quite a few jazz shows, but am not interested in playing jazz now. Also interested in writing and creating new songs with new ideas from other people as I love to collaberate and get other opinions on my songs. I have played a few artists like Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana, Radiohead and Queens of the Stone Age live, and was told that I have amazing stage presence.
So if you like the list of artists you see below, give me a shout! I'll be sure to get back to you fast.
I'm really serious about this because I play music all the time, So I will definitely give it my all!

I am a huge fan of a number of different kinds of rock bands like Queens of the Stone Age, Nirvana, System of a Down, Leftover Crack/Chocking Victim, Babyshambles, Tool, Nails, Slipknot, Smashing Pumpkins, The Strokes and Wavves. I also like other alternative bands such as Fleet Foxes (folk/alternative), Radiohead (rock/alternative/electronic), Cypress Hill (rap), Tame Impala (electronic alternative), Sonic Youth (avant garde rock), Gorillaz (electronic alternative), Dave Mathews Band (jazz fusion) and Sublime (ska/reggae/rock).
Some of my hardcore influences include bands like leftover crack (ska punk/metal), Slipknot (metal), Mushroomhead (electronic metal), and Black Flag (punk). I think all these influences make me a very diverse player and could make some songs that could be very new and unique (and very awesome). Keep in mind, I would like this to be more of a Metal/hard rock band probably with a punk song here and there.

I have five guitars (one 7 string and one shit guitar). Two bass guitars (one tuned down to C). Two guitar amps. One of them is small though, so if there's a second guitar wanting to get together you might have to bring your own amp to be loud enough w/ the drums. One bass amp. I have a few drive and distortion pedals, a studio compressor, a wah and a looper pedal. Also a bass distortion pedal.
Full drum kit (2 mounted toms, 1 floor tom, snare, kick, hi-hat, 2 2 crashes, 2 chinas, ride, splash (all cymbals are very high quality [especially hi-hat] + other slightly cracked symbols and a cowbell). Also a kapo, a slide and some wierd wood clacker things
One large (16 input) PA with compression, which can record and mix live music, which is currently connected to a medium-large monitor for vocals. 3 vocal microphones plus a bunch of compressor mics and drum mics for drum recording. Enough cords to last a lifetime. Recording programs on my computer. Enough mics stands for multiple singers and full drum recording.
