Influences
AOR and Progressive Rock are my favorite genres. Growing up listened to bands like ASIA, Rush, Supertramp, Journey, YES, ELP, Boston and more. I took a particular interest in John Wetton/Geoff Downes (ASIA, YES, King Crimson, UK, Buggles). Admired their writing, Wetton’s vocals and Geoff’s keyboard work.

FLY Year: 2022 Genre: Rock
The new track ‘FLY’ pays homage to AOR rock music of the 80’s, written and arranged to sound like music from that era; including song traits like vocal stacking, guitar stacking, harmony vocals, lots of keyboard work, big production sound and more. The track was originally written in the 80’s, but was never produced. It was during the pandemic that the work resurfaced and studio production began. The track was developed over a two year period with the focus of creating an 80’s AOR rock track in terms of sound and style. Since the track was developed during the pandemic, the lyrics were re-written to create a more uplifting and positive message to help those who needed it. I also created the artwork for the single, again following the 80’s aesthetic during that timeframe.
