Phil Cook & the Fall Dogs: Still Loud, Still Alive, Still Canadian
Phil Cook & the Fall Dogs don’t ask for permission—they just plug in and blow the doors off. Straight outta Southwestern Ontario, this no-frills, all-thrills rock outfit serves up heavy hooks, lyrical fire, and a live show that feels like your record collection grew legs and started drinking beer.
Phil Cook – The Alchemist
Raised on '60s counterculture and forged in the glow of '70s and '80s rock, Phil Cook leads the Fall Dogs with the swagger of Petty, the brains of Costello, and the bite of Bowie. He cut his teeth in bands like 225 Main and Criminal World before stepping into the spotlight as a frontman who writes songs that feel both instantly familiar and undeniably fresh. He doesn’t just channel rock history—he rewrites it in every set.
Bill Marchant: Still Loud, Still Proud, Still Rockin’ Ontario
Bill Marchant didn’t just pick up music — he inherited it like a family heirloom with a busted fretboard and a story to tell. His mom, granddad, and uncle all had the bug, so it was only a matter of time before Bill caught it too. He started out behind the kit, pounding skins at 18, then grabbed a guitar when the itch got too loud to ignore. As for singing? Nobody else wanted the job — so Bill took the mic and never gave it back.
Three decades later, he’s played every bar and festival in Ontario that ever smelled like beer and feedback. Classic rock runs through his veins, modern and indie rock keep his edges sharp, and somewhere along the way he carved out a sound that’s all his own — part grit, part groove, all heart.
Now, writing, recording, and producing his own songs, Bill’s proving that rock isn’t a phase — it’s a lifetime membership. He’s paid his dues, earned his scars, and he’s still carrying the torch for every lifer who refuses to turn it down.
Rock on, Marchant.
Brad Lishman – London’s Loudest Secret
Brad didn’t start drumming until 17. By 18, he was shaking walls with 225 Main. By 24, he was a full-time beast behind the kit for Fatal Attraction, Indiscretion, and Alter Ego. He hits like a train and grooves like your life depends on it. His roots run deep—Beatles, Queen, Rush, Van Halen—and his fills hit like he's summoning Bonham through a stack of Molsons.
James Keyes – Low-End Lunatic of Northern Ontario
James Keyes doesn’t play bass—he summons it from the depths and lets it shake everything from your fillings to your foundation. Born to rebel, raised on Cliff Burton, and hardwired with the seismic boom of Rage and Audioslave, James is a four-string menace who makes the whole damn room pulse. His past? Holding down thunder for Maiden Canada, Northern Ontario’s loudest cover crew. His tone? Dirty. His attitude? Dirtier.
Discography & What's Next
With albums like Sentience Acoustic, Chase Your Tail! And Wo Shou (featuring “Get the Word Down” and “Get Busy Living”), the band already has a foothold in your ears. Coming this July: Ni Hao Ni Hao, with new rippers like “Natalie” and “Hello Hello.”
