ABOUT

Music belongs to the soul, and no mind, no man, can keep it from rejoicing; Peace Clock, a folk-rock group from Sudbury ON Canada, uses this insight when creating music.

Influenced by various folk/folk-rock/rock acts such as Dave Matthews Band, Ani DiFranco, John Butler Trio, The Beatles, Neil Young, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Elliott Smith, and Foo Fighters to name a few, Peace Clock has a familiar sound, yet unique and new.

Since the band’s inception in February 2012, the group has played numerous shows and festivals within Ontario, and they released their first EP titled 19 Grey Street on August 18, 2012. The group recently changed their name from Stephangelah Band to Peace Clock in March 2013. The name originated when founding members Eric and Stephanie decided to form a band. Stephanie being the sole songwriter at the time, felt Stephangelah Band was well suited for the duo as they had intentions to add more members as the time went on. After selecting their top 5 favourites, Peace Clock made the most sense; for the band, it represents a world that's running out of peace.

Band members include Stephanie A. Hurst (vocals/rhythm guitar/bass), Eric Tremblay-Brisson (guitar/vocals/bass), Ryan Joseph Harris (bass/guitar/vocals), and Justin Roy (drums/percussion/keys/vocals). Creating timeless music is what the band hopes to achieve. The group wants their songs to have meaning, feeling and pulse.
