Hi, my name’s Paulo Max Riccardo (also Facebook name). I’ve been professionally trained in Jazz and Classical music (9 years of being a pupil), and I also play in projects that include genres such as metal, rock, reggae, punk, ska, hip-hop and world music.
I have just completed my studies at Vanier College, whilst being fully involved in Montreal’s music scene. Currently, I play in the bands Kman and the 45s; Offset and Starhaze, while often subbing in for various other projects. I’ve played in the Urban Science #lecypher band, I’m in the house band/ collective member in the Mercredi Live jam session, I’ve played all across Canada (one example being at the Calgary Unison Festival), I’ve played on 5 albums (to be 8 by October) and have been on a month long tour in Europe.
Being primarily a drummer/ percussionist, I can also sing background vocals, play keyboards, bass and ukulele. Whatever the project needs. I also teach drums, to anyone at any stage of their life.
I play roughly 100 shows a year, being at small bar venues, big festivals or in an orchestra pit. I’ve had plenty of playing experience and I’m always looking to meet new people and create new musical memories. I’m an open minded and creative player always looking for what the project needs most.
