Hello, I am a fairly skilled guitarist and I play for the love of music. I like to practice picking up songs using only my ear and the guitar and then if I can't quite get it I'll learn from a TAB. I also do a fair bit of skills practicing like doing scales to a metronome while upping the tempo or hammer ons/pull offs, upping the tempo as I go. I also like to take songs that I've learned, break them down, and see how they relate to music theory. All of the skills training is nice but it means nothing unless you feel what you play. I like writing songs and expressing myself through music, in that light music becomes the language of the soul.
