ABOUT

Old and experienced musician looking to be part of a group playing for fun, but who are also willing to treat the hobby seriously. I want to help write and record good material, willing to play live events (not x-country tour, but maybe a trip to Halifax, Moncton, PEI, on occasion.)

I'm not a superb or flashy player, not very technical. Meat and potatoes I can lock in and hold down a solid groove and accent all the right punches, and can work very well with a group of musicians to keep it all together. I can also provide some grunt/shout backup vocals (don't ask me to do harmony, you'd be better with a dying cat)

Influences

I draw from a lot of sources. Early influence was Seattle grunge and late 80s-early 90s skate punk and hardcore. I evolved into metal and industrial over the 90s and 2000s.

Alice In Chains, Helmet, Pennywise, Coal Chamber, Machine Head, Pantera, Chimaira, = Bands with probably the biggest direct influence on my personal playing style.

I would like to be involved with a project interested in original materials but am not opposed to covers, especially to get started to get everyone working together.

I would really like to be part of something in Fredericton that the east coast has never really done.
- Metal with elements of synth, techno, keyboards, opera - Rammstein, Epica, Fear Factory.
- True old-school Hardcore - Hatebreed, Madball, Biohazard
Also happy doing something more simple:
- Straight hard rock - Godsmack, Stone Sour, Queens of the Stone Age, Drowning Pool, etc.
- High energy skate punk (melodic hardcore I guess they now call it) - Bad Religion, Pennywise, NOFX, Offspring, SNFU
