Hello, we are Lotus Flower, a north Calgary based band. we've been making music for about 5 years now, but, we are now looking into getting serious with this project, and are looking for other musicians who feel connected in some way!

we are currently looking for a drummer, keyboardist and a second guitarist. However, with Lotus Flower, we don't just limited you to one part. we all write songs and show each other, then work on it. often times newer bands will just use the first idea because it's what other want. how we work, is we flesh out ideas before working or recording. as well, with Lotus Flower, I have 6 years experience with low budget mixing, I can make a zero budget recording feel near studio quality.

Everything made from 2020 to 2026 was recorded on free programs, and as low of a budget possible gear. this is to prove to everyone that anyone can make good music if they tried. you don't need fancy gear to make good music.

As for what the band is, we tell stories. every record is a concept record. our whole body of work is in the same universe. our newest work, Apostles (coming out march 6th) is one massive 1:18:17 long concept record that tells one complete story. if that sounds interesting to you, feel free to message us!

Genre is something that is very flexible, as for right now, we often find ourselves Writing Progressive Metal mixed with elements of Death Metal, Math Rock, weirdo Jazz, and good old fashion Folk, Indie Rock, rock, Hop-hop, and electronica. Nothing is off limits.
