My name is mip. I'm pretty new to the Toronto area but I came here to rock out and that's pretty much that. I'm trying out bandmix.ca for 2 reasons:
1) I have my own solo project as 'mip'--I have a drummer and a keyboard/fiddle/accordian player but I need a BASS PLAYER and back up Vocalist. Committed to 1 rehearsal a week would be grand!
2)I'm looking to join another project as a vocalist (back-up or lead) and/or rhythm guitarist.

I have toured as a back up vocalist/rhythm guitarist with blues rocker Rachelle van Zanten (formerly of Painting Daisies) and I have shared the stage with 2 time Juno Award winner Alex Cuba. Some have said my voice has Melissa Ethridge's edge and Janis Joplin's soul to it. My stage presence is high-energy and has been compared with Springsteen in his younger years, "Joni Mitchell on speed" or, simply, "fireworks."
