Singer/songwriter - 54 years old - looking to form a working 'guitar driven' pop-rock band/project. I am also a seasoned rhythm and lead guitarist. I'm your garden variety blues based based rock guitarist who likes a bit of everything. Ideally I would like to form a foursome to play blues based pop rock covers and originals, but I am open to doing duets, a trio, collaborations with other singer/writers, etc...

*I enjoy playing cover tunes, but I am not interested in doing strictly covers or tributes. Looking to do a healthy mix of originals and covers with an emphasis on improvisation and creativity. “Loose, but tight.”

More than anything I am looking forward to gigging as much as possible. A second guitarist would be preferred, but a keyboard/piano player, or even both, would be more than welcome. Vocals are an asset but not a deal breaker if you do not sing. Age, for obvious reasons, is not an issue. If you write and/or have ideas or material, perfect. If you can play your instrument but want to try and compose/write, perfect.

I can and do sing, and will be happy to fill that role. But I am open to having more than one lead singer, or stepping back. However – just in case that unicorn is out there somewhere – a lead singer/front person looking for a band would definitely be more than welcome. Just saying... Hell, are you a closet poet who thinks you can sing?

Just to recap, so there are no misunderstandings: Although I am a gainfully employed professional, I want to rehearse and gig as much as possible, ultimately playing bars, clubs, pubs, casinos, festivals, whatever, whenever... I have the time to commit and am looking for the same. Great 'renditions' of cover tunes are an essential part of great shows... but the focus will be on creating and performing great pop rock originals. Playing live will help to fund the project and keep it alive on the inter-web and elsewhere. 'There is a market for it if you are good at it.'

Not looking for anything heavy at first. Just looking to hook up with the 'right' people for now to see if there's something there. Still waiting to see what's happening with COVID. I am double vaxxed and will likely get the booster. I will wear a mask if need be. So, no issues there.

I work days. I am available most nights and weekends for rehearsals and gigs. I have reliable transportation and equipment.

Best regards,

I have far too many influences to list here. Country, Motown, Blues, AM Gold. Oldies, Classic Rock, Hard Rock, Metal, lots of stuff to love... Elvis, The Beatles, Stones, and Zeppelin rule. However, anything with a groove will do. Then anything else anything else interesting after that... Almost as a rule I can always find something I like in every song I hear.
