I'm a musician from my youth. Years of piano lessons and viola lessons, played in orchestras, quartets and jazz bands into my 20s. Have taken a few years of jazz piano from some great teachers.
These days, I play piano and guitar (I like to hack around on), but I can play bass too.
I appreciate a good groove, I love the blues, I love a horn section, I analyze the lyrics, I want to know everything about how jazz works.
I try to get to the Corktown pub in Hamilton on Wednesdays for the jazz jam there.
But I'm looking to put together a regularly jazz jam together myself - I've got a great space.
