As a Pianist since 2004, Meir has played the piano for literally dozens of various types of events. He has the confidence and range which is ideally suited for your Wedding, Cocktail Reception, Ceremonies, Bar/Mitzvahs, Dinner Parties and more...

Meir Gerichter was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. At the age of 11, Meir heard the song Turkish March by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. According to Meir, this first contact with Classical music is what motivated him to learn piano. He developed a great ear for music. He would sit at the piano, listen to music and simply, play. He learned to play most forms of music and could make use of any piano. Shortly after, he began piano lessons with Professor Aviva Charni from Russia. Gerichter has performed throughout many cities in Ontario and in some parts of the United Sates. In 2007, he was invited by Philanthropist George Molsbarger from the Squid & Squash Foundation to Santa Monica, Los Angeles to perform his first public recital overseas. After receiving a generous $7000, Meir bought the piano of his dreams. An Essex, Steinway & Sons grand piano.Consequently, Meir has a wide variety of repertoire and styles to choose from, including traditional, classical music, movie themes, nostalgia and all sorts of popular music, including classic rock. Meir also can, to a certain extent play other keyboard-related instruments such as the synthesizer, harpsichord, celesta & the organ.

Due to his talent, Meir has appeared in over 3 Newspapers and Magazines and has been said to "Make expert pianists look like beginners". At the age of 17, Meir had already been playing in three 4 Star Restaurants known as Manyata Courtyard Café, Greg Couillard's Spice Room & Chutney Bar and Michelle's Brasserie located at Yorkville, Toronto Ontario. Having a great amount of extensive exposure, Meir has been interviewed on CIUT 89.5 FM as well as perform in various private functions due to his exceptional performances. He has also appeared in the Shalom Toronto newspaper and was popular throughout the Jewish community. Meir played for various occasions. At the FOS Decor Centre, The Toronto Film Festival (TIFF), The Four Seasons HOTEL and the former Planet Bakery. Playing in Toronto International Film Festival, he managed to play the Piano for actress Anne Hathaway and because of his great success as a young Pianist he also met Singer Barry Manilow & Quincy Jones.
