ABOUT

Born in Yugoslavia, present day Serbia in May 1985, Marko Vukovic began playing piano at the age of 5 and switched to bass 9 years later when moving to Canada. He would form his first original along with two tribute bands. He completed a full scale Canadian tour as a session musician only a couple of months after picking up bass. From 2003 to 2005 Marko spent time in various bands opening for KATAKLYSM, DEEDS OF FLESH, MORTAL DECAY and DEPSISED ICON.

In 2005 Marko and Clare B., BLEAK DESTINY keyboardist, started writing music for SYMETARY. While working on SYMETARY Marko decided on trying get out of his comfort zone and work with original artists within the Rock and Hip Hop genre. This resulted in three full length albums; one was never released, two separate Canadian tours covering Western and Eastern Canada and a tour covering Northern USA. After the last tour he decided to take a break from live performance to focus on becoming a music teacher.

Midway into 2007 Marko got the performance bug again and begin playing live again with three different bands. They kept him busy as he had the chance to tour and open for EPICUREAN, AUGURY, UNEXPECT, ENSIFERUM, BLACKGUARD, THE EXALTED PILEDRIVER, THE AGONIST, MARTYR, BEHOLD... THE ARCTOPUS, NEURAXIS, LIVIDITY, QUO VADIS and many more.

In September 2010, he was added to RECKON WITH ONE’S line-up and they quickly put out a 4 song EP, entitled “Before The Storm”.

Toured Japan in 2019 with Visions of the Night.
