Liquid Rhythm, is a well established Calgary corporate/wedding cover band. Due to life changes, we have lost two pivotal members and are now looking for a lead male singer as well as a keyboard player to complement our lineup.
About us:
Established in 2014, Liquid Rhythm has focused on corporate events and weddings with the occasional bar gig to provide visibility to potential clients.
We are a 7 piece band of highly proficient musicians comprising of male/female lead vocals, 2 lead guitar, bass, keys, drums.
We perform cover songs from all popular genres and decades focusing on rock, pop, funk/disco and country from the 80's to today. Sample artists include everything from ABBA to Guns N' Roses to Lady Gaga to Gretchen Wilson to Proclaimers and Evanescence. We like to keep it interesting for the band and our clients and we learn new material on a regular basis.
We typically rehearse at a residence in Thorncliffe about 2x/month (possibly more frequently to onboard new members) unless we are gigging in which case, rehearsals may or may not happen.
About you:
1. Lead Singer/Vocalist
Male with a strong, clear tenor voice
Have good stage presence and the ability to engage with an audience
Present a professional image as one of the front people of the band
Ability to harmonize with little effort
Ability to play an instrument is an asset, but not required
2. Keyboard player
High degree of proficiency on keyboards including finding sounds/patches to replicate the original song.
Previous experience preferably in a cover/original band
Ability to improvise and solo; sometimes we like to deviate from the original songs we cover and put our own stamp on them
We are a team that has been playing together for years and value cooperation and collaboration. Frequency/type of gigs, rehearsals, song selection, etc ... are all determined as a group. Although we work hard to ensure the best pay for every gig, we aren't in this to make lots of money. We are ego free, (no, really!) and perform at a very high professional standard. We prioritize entertaining our clients and having FUN while doing it!

Influences
Because we are a diverse group, we have a wide variety of tastes from RUSH to Linkin Park to Lainey Wilson. We are all rockers at heart but have a lot of fun stretching ourselves and trying new things.
