Would love to join a band or find 1+ people to jam and perform with. Not known for my ability to book gigs, but I love turning strangers into fans :)
Performance experience leading and supporting vocals (mostly leading) in bluegrass, celtic, and classic rock. Have performed around Halifax area in 3 bands and the Halifax Music Co-op choir (low alto, but with range). I also play a little accordion, including one term with the HMC jazz band, but am more of a singer by far.
Also have written a few originals and happy to explore that more.
Flexible in genres. I like songs with powerful vocals (e.g., House of the Rising Sun, Wayfaring Stranger) and challenging fast paced tunes (e.g., Irish Rover, Rocky Road to Dublin), and am drawn to the slow depressing stuff, but would just be happy getting out and singing again with easy going folks!
