I love the idea of playing great tunes, but not necessarily trying to reproduce the recorded version.
I mean, if they want a replica then hire a DJ, right?!
I want to play great music, from the last 50 years, of many genres, with room for interpretation and individuality, and not being tied to note-for-note covers. (Yawn)
Looking at Eagles/Little River Band/John Mayer/Jason Mraz/ also modern country, but I tire of the bros singing about beer.
Anyway, that’s my reference point for groove.
Lower volume, higher musical originality, great harmonies, great musicianship.
Rock. Pop. Country. Groove. I don’t care as long as it's good music.
Would love to hook up with someone who plays cajon/hand drums, and a bass player, and another guitarist, maybe keys, with creativity, innovation, etc - with great harmony vocals as the cherry on top.
I have no idea if it's marketable - but it's the music I love, and the music I want to make.
I'm in my mid-50s.
(But I'm happy to make music with anyone/anyage who fits.)
Very good lead vocals.
Strong guitar (more rhythm than lead, but coming along).
Pro experience. Read music.
(Taught High School music for 15 years.)
Music making with friends is the ultimate goal.
Not looking to gig every weekend, but happy to gig as they come. Music is meant for sharing.
(My priority is good groove and good vibes - not making a buck.)
Nice guy, reliable, solid, versatile, musical, mature/immature in just the right ways.
I keep editing this profile as I figure out what I'm seeking.
Nice folks have reached out, but it hasn't fit yet - that's on me figuring out what I'm seeking.
Maybe I'm getting closer with this current description?
