Toronto-based strong clean male baritone-tenor vocalist looking for a band ranging from Christian Contempoary/Worship to Metalcore (with strengths in both clean and scream technique) - I'm also open to a wide array of musical genres and also very open to contributing in writing original material. I should mention that while I'm okay with working on cover work for an audition/elementary period, my contributions and dedication are geared towards having a unique, original band with our own sound. I also have an intermediate skill level on rhythm guitar (acoustic), drums, and bass guitar. One of my signatures is playing acoustic guitar in either my own unique original alternate tuning, or in other alternate tunings in general. I love to match up harmonized notes and chords via two acoustic guitars tuned either differently or with use of capo.
I am recently re-integrated into the musical community having been on hiatus for 5+ years. I've been maintaining a career focus but am ready to return my greatest passion: making music!
Predominantly, I am a vocalist and so I focus my primary practice time on voice work. My strength for genres of singing include
1) Christian Contemporary (think Chris Tomlin-style)
2) Adult Contemporary (think Josh Groban / Musical Theatre-style)
3) Scremo & Clean Metal (think Killswitch Engage-style)
I am willing to work with anyone (meaning I can drive to you) in the City of Toronto, York Region, and Durham Region. I am open to ANY OTHER area as well if the match is right. I am currently looking to purchase proper vocal recording equipment so that I could potentially sing and record for a band "long-distance" other than for shows in which I would travel.
I haven't been on the scene for a while, but in me you will find a strong vocalist wiling to SERIOUSLY COMMIT to a group of musicians. Furthermore, I am honest, and re-entering the scene humbly; with this being said, you will find an honest self-appraisal of my current level of musicianship in the instruments I've listed. Other than vocals, I am willing to capably contribute to a rhythm acoustic section. I also play intermediate-level drums and bass, but do not currently own either.
