We are JZ Cocktail, a fusion band based in Edmonton since 2021, Over the past few years we’ve built a repertoire blending jazz, funk, and modern fusion, with influences from artists like T-Square, Casiopea, and contemporary jazz-fusion groups.
As the band continues to evolve, we’re currently going through a lineup transition and are looking to connect with like-minded musicians who enjoy groove-oriented instrumental music and collaborative playing.
At the moment we are especially interested in:
• Saxophone (EWI)
• Flute
• Trumpet
We’re looking for players who enjoy fusion music, are comfortable learning arranged material, and like contributing ideas to shape the band’s sound. Regular rehearsals and occasional gigs are part of the plan as we continue developing the project.
If you play guitar, bass, keys, or other instruments and would simply like to jam or collaborate with us short-term, you’re also very welcome to reach out.
