I’m searching for musicians in Calgary interested in forming a Purple Mountains cover band (with some Silver Jews influence as well).
Looking to fill: drums, bass, electric guitar, keys, and possibly pedal steel.
Influences: Purple Mountains, Silver Jews, Bill Callahan, Lambchop, Wilco, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Songs: Ohia.
Project vision: rehearse regularly, build a strong set, and perform locally.
Ideal if you have an appreciation for alt-country, lo-fi/indie rock arrangements, and emotionally driven lyricism.
