Looking to start a 90s, Pop Punk and 2000's Indie Cover Band
Looking to get feedback from people in the Stratford area who would be interested in forming a cover band.
The idea is that we would eventually have enough good cover material to be able to perform "era nights". For example, play a show that is an all 90s cover night, play a show that is an all Pop Punk (Blink, Green Day, Falloutboy) cover night or, play a show that is an all 2000s Indies (Arcade Fire, Strokes, Vampire Weekend) cover night.
I have a loose commitment from a bass player and drummer (nothing confirmed) but what would be a great start is for me to play shows with another guitarist and or vocalist with the end goal being to build the full band. I have been solo playing at venues locally since the end of COVID and would like to start playing these spots with the era nights and with a second musician.
I am hoping to hear from people 25-45. Mainly because I have two young kids and would have to practice on tricky schedules. The other reason is that I want to cover the eras I grew up in and assume a project like this would be more appealing to people of a similar age.
I have been playing in cover/wedding bands for well over a decade and am kind of bored of the wedding and classic rock covers. I think something like this would be fun to develop and a cool concept. So please send me a private message if interested or would like to chat more.
