I've been noodling on the guitar for over 40 years and over the last few years decided to take it more seriously. In the absence of having like minded musicians to jam with, I've been taking lessons for the last few months. Progress is being made, but playing with other guitarists makes things go s lot faster. I'm okay with rhythm and I can fake my through some leads.
I started playing harmonica when I was about thirteen and took it quite seriously for many years, playing in a variety of bands, first bluegrass and later blues. Guitar was always there for me, but never really taken too seriously as there was always too many guitars in the mix. I've been playing much more consistently, but it's just me improvising, playing along to albums and what ever I find on the Internet that fancies me. Most of what I lean towards on the guitar is blues/jazz and classic 60's soul inspired. Ideally, I'd just like to find some musicians to jam with who play similar music. I'd be there to follow along and learn, not so much as to offering anything up. I've got acoustic and electric guitars, and I'm fine with either one.
