SEEKINGBand to Join, Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Drums, Keyboard.
Retired now so I actually have some real time to play music and try to get reasonably good at it. Have played and still play (less frequently) with a great group of guys on the coast for the last 15 years. We did some gigs and our own recording including some original music. I would look forward to joining in with local easy going mature music lovers. I've played mainly bass guitar but more recently I've been enjoying making up my own tunes on an acoustic/electric guitar. I use the computer program Cakewalk by Bandlab to help me develop & record my own stuff. After many hours of mixing & mastering my tracks going through 3 different DAW's playing with EQ compression & limiting till I couldn't hear the difference anymore I finished the CD called One Layer Down that you can listen to below. "A mix is never finished... only surrendered".

Is There Anybody Out There
Is There Anybody Out There Year: 2019 Genre: Alternative
Reminds me of the Tesla car launched into space looking for some love! Used a B diminished chord in this tune... think it has an interesting effect.
Life's Chill Year: 2019 Genre: Alternative
Key of A... a very interesting key to play in with all the 3 sharps. Makes for efficiency when playing from one string to another. I like the harmony between G#m & C#m & D. Liked those 9th chords a lot.

We Canadians are so polite... no it's your turn?

Getting Close Track number: 3 Year: 2018 Album: One Layer Down Genre: Alternative
Decided one day to D tune my guitar but didn't like how low it sounded so came up a half tone then made this up. Its just laid back.
One Layer Down
One Layer Down Track number: 6 Year: 2018 Album: One Layer Down Genre: Alternative
Experimenting with the lead guitar sound to a slower tempo brought out this creation.
My Wide Brimmed Hat
My Wide Brimmed Hat Track number: 7 Year: 2018 Album: One Layer Down Genre: Alternative
This is a redo of a previous song I wasn't happy with. I redid the lead and other guitar work as well as added key boards.
Still Track number: 8 Year: 2018 Album: One Layer Down Genre: Alternative
Experimented with using a lot of feedback to get the guitar parts played over the main lead. The lead was developed after buying a new guitar. Got some help using Cakewalks session MIDI drummer on the drum parts.
Forgetting To Breathe
Forgetting To Breathe Track number: 9 Year: 2018 Album: One Layer Down Genre: Alternative
Spent more time on the rhythm drum and bass parts in order to keep the tempo driving so this made playing lead much easier building more dynamic range.
Quiet Time Track number: 10 Year: 2018 Album: One Layer Down Genre: Alternative
I find playing slow songs challenging and this one proved that way also.
Walk On Down The Way
Walk On Down The Way Track number: 11 Year: 2018 Album: One Layer Down Genre: Alternative
My own composition. Play all the instruments and did all the recording and sound effects. A 3am performance!
Mouse In The Pocket
Mouse In The Pocket Track number: 12 Year: 2018 Album: One Layer Down
Simple songs are sometimes the best. I tried bringing in two different keys to this tune that wasn't a modulation. The run down is very effective.
