Here is a brief summary of how The Scary Harry Somers Experience came to be…

In the summer of 2018 Christopher Tate, a guitarist friend of mine, asked me if I wanted to form an original project.

I was totally down for that since I just had the Scary Harry Somers Band doing a couple of shows a year prior to this, with fill in players.

Christopher had also mentioned Stephane Cote as a second guitarist, (whom I had met before) Now we needed to find a drummer. I met Mike O’Leary about a week later at a house party, I told Mike about the original project idea and he was interested. We met up at my Studio/rehearsal place, jammed and chatted.

After a few months of playing together it was clear that Christopher was wanting to go in a different musical direction than the rest of us so, he left the band. (Thanks Christopher for getting this whole thing going!)
And then there were three…

The discussion of recording some of these originals of mine came next and Stephane and Mike dug my tunes, so we picked 4 songs to start with.(Which eventually turned into 14 songs!) We recorded all the tracks and started to mix the first 4 from start to finish. (and so it continues…)

During this time, I had to choose a name for the band. I tossed a few ideas around to the guys and The Scary Harry Somers Project was one that stuck for a bit but was quickly changed to The Scary Harry Somers Experience.

And with that said, the first 4 songs from the debut album “Don’t Wait Till Tomorrow” by The Scary Harry Somers Experience will be released on line over the remaining 2022 year, with the full length Vinyl and C.D available in 2023.
