Good Shepherd Music Group

Bass Guitar.

We are the Good Shepherd Music Group ("the GSMG"), a contemporary Christian music group playing at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, located at 1630 Lawrence Avenue West in North York.

The group comprises lead vocals/rhythm guitar, keyboards, drums and bass. We are looking for a new bass guitar player.

The music we play is country gospel, and includes songs such as: "I Saw the Light", "I'll Fly Away", "Jesus Hold My Hand", "Jordan's Banks", "Just A Little Talk with Jesus", "Precious Memories", as well as other songs, including several hymns that we have adapted to our group.

We have been rehearsing and playing together for over a year now, and we have close to two dozen songs in our repertoire, with the intention of learning and adding new songs as much as possible.

We rehearse once a week (currently Wednesday nights between 7 and 9pm), and we play on the last Sunday of each month at the church's contemporary worship service - the other Sunday services being traditional in nature. It is likely that we will be playing twice a month in the near future.

We are a committed group, friendly, and supportive of each other. We offer a warm place to rehearse and perform in, including a new PA, IEMs, multi-track mixer, and a full microphone set-up. Our services are recorded live and uploaded to the church’s YouTube channel. It is our intention, once we find a dedicated bass player, to record more polished versions of the songs we play.

If your are interested in playing bass guitar for us, please reach. All we ask is that you be committed, friendly, and supportive, as well. The ability to harmonize vocally is also an asset, but is nor required.

You can view our playing on the last Sunday of each month on the church's YouTube channel:

We hope to hear from you soon.
