Looking for a fearless and well rounded bassist with BG vox. Ideal candidate is artistic, listens well and is as happy playing a 1-4-5 as holding down solid, hip, often syncopated grooves - cause it's all about the group - right? Should enjoy soloing and think that suggesting a violin, sax, drum or organ part on their bass is truly fun and interesting! Chance to play with extraordinary people that requires 15+ 2hr rehearsals to begin. You'll learn 70 covers (Costello, Doors, Black Keys, Sly, Stevie Ray, Zep, Lumineers, plus WAY more) and 20 originals. Nothing very complex but TOTALLY groove centric. No paid rehearsals but share in royalties. This opportunity suits someone who wants to join a supportive organization, is able to commit their time and is prepared to take the work more seriously than their ego.
