I'm just looking for people who want to enjoy music as a hobby. I like to jam as well as write and record music. I am not looking to make music a career or to gig at all. I have lots of equipment to facilitate this kind of thing. Don't want to come off as standoffish or rude but I have tried this before some years ago and people who responded kept trying to push it the direction of doing gigs even though my ad very clearly stated that I wasn't interested in that. What I am interested in is making some good friends and having a good time playing and recording together. My skills are moderate or even basic to some. I would consider myself to be a guitarist but I can play drums as well (also fairly basically). I do also sing, which I think I do reasonably well.

Influences
The list is big so I'll just go with genres or movements I guess. 60's British invasion (Stones, Yardbirds, etc), classic rock in general (more 60's and early 70s). Early punk like FEAR, Black Flag, Circle Jerks, etc. 90s punk like Rancid, NOFX, Pennywise, etc. 90s grunge, a lot of 90s alternative and metal acts (the high school years). Lately I am totally into stoner rock (Sasquatch, Mountainwolf, Sleep, Kyuss, etc). This is what I am wanting to write and record.

EQUIPMENT
I have a basement full of equipment. I'm not going to list guitars cause I have like 10 or so. Amps, I'm running a stereo setup - EHX MIG 50 and an Orange AD30. I also have a Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb silverface reissue. I also have a Fender bass amp, don't remember the model, it's solid state. I don't play bass really so I've never bothered upgrading it. I have a pedal shelf, not going to list all of them, there's plenty. Happy to let people use what's there. For drums I have a Pearl set, it's a budget set but I've put a bunch of time slowly upgrading things I didn't like. Pork Pie snare, Zjildjan new beats for hi hats, think the ride is a Paiste, forget the specific one. I really like the sound of it. I also have a PA set up, couple yorkville wedges that can be PA or stage monitors, a 2000 watt amp to power them and a soundcraft signature 16 for live mics.
Recording side I run everything into 500 series mic preamps and compressors before going into my interface, I use Cockos Reaper as my DAW, it works for me and it's not prohibitively expensive. I have a fairly large assortment of mics, enough that I don't need to list them individually.
That's it for the big stuff, there's oodles of small bits and bobs that collect over the years and make all the things work together, etc. Stands, cabling, tuners, all that kind of stuff.
