In my earlier years, I played with the Lisgar Collegiate Band and Orchestra and later served as principal flutist with the Ottawa Associate Youth Orchestra. I studied privately for several years with the principal flutist of the National Arts Centre Orchestra and was accepted for a session with Jean-Pierre Rampal in France (which ultimately did not proceed due to accommodation constraints at the university)
I continued playing with the University of Calgary Concert Band and the Nepean Concert Band. While it has been many years since I last played regularly, I am eager to get back into music-making and would welcome the opportunity to join your group if space becomes available.
