Dive Bar Diplomats is a Vancouver Island party-rock band built to light up pubs, clubs, and events with raw energy, infectious grooves, and a classic-cool vibe. The sound is a gritty, tight, mix of rock, punk, ska and alternative anthems—delivered with a stripped-down power trio setup and a turned-up attitude that keeps the room moving (and works for crowds from 25 to 65).
Musically, the set leans hard into punchy, recognizable bangers across punk/alt/garage/grunge: Jack White, Clash, Sublime, Social Distortion, Black Keys STP, Royal Blood etc. It’s the kind of set that hits fast, stays fun, and keeps the dance floor engaged all night.
Who we’re looking for
• Drummer: confident pocket with punk/alt drive, quick transitions, tempo control, and dynamics.
• Bass: strong “lock with the kick” feel, driving 8ths, tasteful movement when needed, and stage energy.
Must have
a love of the music and playing live.
previous bar band/gig experience.

Can live anywhere from Victoria and Nanaimo.
