ABOUT

I primarily play bass [50/50 fingerstyle/pick], and have a basic understanding of theory. I have taken lessons on bass for the past 3-4 years, and have many hours experience playing with other people (mostly guitar players) in both jam style playing as well as covers. My rhythm guitar playing is mostly power chord based (punk/rock), and open chords with little interest in lead guitar.

A semi-serious group/individuals to play with on a regular basis (say once every week or two) is what I am primarily looking for. I am pretty well rounded on bass styles (aside from slap/funk) and would be good with both jam style or covers with the intention of getting out to the odd open-mic or dive bar show.

I am in my mid/late 30s with kids so am not looking to make a career out of playing bass or tour the world. Just interested in setting up a local group that plays primarily for enjoyment and to hone their craft.
