Originally from Saskatoon, SK, Delena Martens is a multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and composer currently attending her fourth year at MacEwan University majoring in Vocal Performance. She is passionate about the complexities of music and, when she isn’t performing or teaching music to kids and adults, she is dreaming up and working on her own projects. Her favorite genres to play and listen to are jazz, alternative pop/rock, and R&B and one of the most memorable and impactful concerts she attended was Kamasi Washington as part of Saskatoon Jazz Fest 2019. On her off time, you can find her going for walks by the river, hanging out with her cats, and wishing that she owned more house plants. In taking Artist Management for the Music Business, Delena hopes to learn the ins and outs of music management and how to better manage both her own and other’s music careers.
