Midnight Blue Jazz Society is Calgary’s most entertaining 17-piece big band. With a repertoire ranging from classic 1940’s big band arrangements to modern pop hits, our music draws from diverse styles including swing, jazz, blues, latin, funk and classic rock. We’ve performed as far away as Vancouver Island, Northwest Territories and even Cuba. In Calgary, you can find us playing at the Ironwood Stage Bar & Grill, The Rec Room and The Grand Theatre with local greats like Johnny Summers and Pat Belliveau. Our first EP was recorded at the National Music Centre.
Midnight Blue Jazz Society adds a fun and lively atmosphere to all kinds of events, including private parties, community gatherings, fundraisers, dance clubs, pub nights, dinner dances, weddings, variety shows and music festivals.
