ABOUT
Currently I am playing with two projects; one original and one cover band.
Our lineup consists of a couple of vocalists, two guitarists, a drummer and yours truly on bass. We cover soul deep cuts and put our own flavour and flair into them.
The original project is Ripple Illusion. This is a fresh take on an old sound, combining groovy funk rock with rich harmonies. Mike Turner is the founding member, who writes, sings and plays keys in this band. We've recently recorded a few new songs at Monarch Studio in Vancouver and will be playing more shows throughout 2026.

Influences
James Jamerson to John Paul Jones and Sean Hurley to Joe Dart. I love the bass playing by Mike Starr of Neal Francis, Brendan Bond of The Black Pumas and Bosco Mann of Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings.
In my rotation: Sharon Jones, Black Joe Lewis, Dan Auerbach, Neal Francis, Theo Katzman, The Black Pumas, Anderson Paak - and of course the classics: Marvin Gaye, Charles Bradley, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Hendrix and The Beatles.

Pedal board, mostly used for a tube-driven DI and a compressor but I do have some fuzz for the right occasions - and others, if needed.
Hybrid tube head through a 2 x 12 cabinet = great tone.
