ABOUT

Greetings, I have just moved to the island recently and looking to pick up where I left off on the mainland. About me, I founded the Madison Blues Band back in 2004 in the lower mainland and continued with the band after I moved to the island but found it was getting to be to much traveling back and forth twice a month. I am starting from scratch and looking for like minded passionate blues musicians that like to have fun and become a member of the band. I am looking for the following;
-A Female lead singer, any gender bass, drummer, keyboard (piano/organ capability), harmonica and sax player. Age does not matter as long as you are old enough to play in a licensed venue. I will also run each players ad individually, but figured I would start by placing this ad first.
-Passion playing the blues and do it for the love of Blues.
-Individuals that are good with rehearsing twice a month and gig once a month or two and also don't mind splitting the cost of a rehearsal space. As an example we rehearsed at Pandora's Box in Van, the cost was approximately $15 per player for a 3 hour session. I am not familiar with studios around Nanaimo so any input would be appreciated.
-Come prepared to rehearsal and check your ego at the door, I am an easy going individual and expect everyone to treat all players with respect and have a fun time. I don't get hung up on mistakes, we are all human.
-Not afraid to provide input to make a good song a great song.

If you do not like rehearsing and are only into gigging this band is not for you. Also, if you are looking at this as a source of income, what can I say it is not great in a six or seven piece band.
