Been playing guitar for about 5-6 years now, although only started taking it seriously about 3-4 years ago. I'm completely self taught (woohoo internet), but I've recently started taking lessons as well. I've dabbled in plenty of other instruments in the past, but guitar is the one that has really resonated with me. I play mostly blues / classic / progressive rock, with some metal thrown in every once in a while.
The type of music I'd like to create and perform as a band is generally progressive rock (while still taking inspiration from blues/jazz/folk) fueled by intellectually stimulating lyrics. I've been writing lyrics, short stories and poetry on and off for years now, so I have plenty ideas floating around.
Aside from music, I'm an avid reader (mostly sci-fi/fantasy/philosophical works), and I love video games and all things technology. I'm a wallflower of sorts but the company I keep is important to me.
