Dane Neufeld is a guitarist, composer, and music educator whose work spans jazz, blues, rock, and contemporary music styles. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, He is now based in Calgary, Alberta. Dane holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Guitar Performance from Brandon University, and has earned multiple scholarships and academic honors recognizing his dedication to the craft.

Equally at home on intimate stages, large festival grounds, and in the studio, Dane has built a dynamic performing career. He has appeared at popular events such as Dauphin’s CountryFest, the Salamander Summer Music Festival, and Western Canada Ribfest. His recent performance calendar features collaborations with Matt Cory, a partnership that has propelled the band to win Manitoba Loud Music Awards’ ‘Rock Band of the Year’ in 2025. Past projects have seen him as a guitarist with Flamenco on the Prairies, Friday Kitchen, and the Brandon University Big Band, as well as a featured artist in solo and ensemble settings.

Dane’s creative output extends to composition, arrangement, and production. He has led and recorded original projects, including Music from the Heart (Live!), and contributed as a guitarist to albums such as What Blossoms from Bloodshed? by Esteban Seunarine, and Music and the Mirage by Ben Kensok. Whether performing intricate jazz harmonies, fiery blues solos, or contemporary grooves, Dane brings a deep musicality and genuine connection to every note.

In addition to performance, Dane is an experienced educator, offering personalized guitar instruction to students of all ages and skill levels. His teaching emphasizes strong fundamental foundations, creative exploration, and helping students find their own musical voice. He has also contributed to community and healthcare through his work with Artists in Healthcare Manitoba, providing live therapeutic music in hospitals and care facilities.

With a career marked by versatility, collaboration, and a commitment to artistry, Dane continues to explore new musical landscapes—bridging genres, communities, and audiences through the shared language of music.
