ABOUT

Rock drummer in my teens and twenties, 60's & 70's (Yes I’m that old. The long grey beard should have been a clue.) Just returned to the drums after a thirty-year hiatus. Been practising 2 to 3 hours a day for the last year and a half. Better today than I ever was back in the day. Very interested in playing again.

My music tastes have changed in the last 30 years. My stint as a nightclub manager back in the 80's hooked me on dance tunes, urban R&B and Soul. I’m currently playing an electronic kit. What it lacks in ascetic quality is more than made up in its versatility. It gives me the ability to select a variety of different kits. It also takes up much less room, is easier to transport, set up and tear down. Combine that with my 14 channel mixing board, some cable and headphones and all the electric instruments can run through it and voila silent practising.

Although I am very interested in playing again, I’m not interested in playing rock or country. What I would like to play is modern urban R&B, Hip Hop, Soul, Funk and Jazz/Fusion. If any of that sounds interesting, get in touch with me and let’s see if we can set something up.
