I am currently an artist releasing singles independently and via 2 labels I am working with, actively touring and releasing.
I have been considering building out a touring band of session musicians but would like to actually write and tour with a band as well, so I am starting a new project. I will continue my solo stuff as well, esp as I have some signed to labels and such, but I want to start a new project and then when I have paid shows for my own stuff, we can play those live too for more cash coming into the band.
I am a singer and songwriter, and I play guitar and do some mixing.
I am looking for a lead guitarist as a main one, as this will be critical to forming sound etc. i am talking to someone currently but he may end up wanting to do rhythm guitar and backing vocals, so open to both/ likely will have two guitarists.
Drummer is open, some songs will use electronic drums but live we’d play with a real kit and many songs will use real kit.
Bass same thing, if we don’t wanna add a bassist we can hire session musician for shows and use electronic bass and instead have a producer join the band.
Having someone to do all the electronic bass and drums and who is strong and mixing and mastering, will allow us to save money, write more, control sound, etc, and then we could use my mastering guys at the label for finessing and another set of ears if we want.
I am open to a piano/keyboard player too but not sure yet if we will need this.
The sound would be a blend of 90s/2000s alternative, hip hop and rock. Think 21pilots, Blackbear, Yungblud, the kid Laroi, 10 years, red, three days grace - this general playing field.
I have touring opportunities actively and am writing a lot, I’m hoping to put this together asap!
I am, however, looking for people who are aiming at doing this for a career, you can have a job and all that of course lol but I’m actively building connections daily, landing gigs, landing sync and label placements, etc. i play every single day, I have a home studio setup and work with two studios here in the gta.
It would be ideal to be able to do writing sessions collaboratively remotely. Passing files back and forth, doing live sessions, etc. ideally would have home studios setup and then meet up at jam spaces or at studios when wanna rehearse for shows or do studio receordings. If not able; we can still chat, and I do have some xtra gear if needed.
