Scarlet Reverie is the songwriting project of guitarist and composer Carter Lorenz. His music blends the energy and theatrics of rock and roll with the elegance and harmonic storytelling of classical compositions. Drawing inspiration from the intricate counterpoint and dramatic tension of the baroque period, Scarlet Reverie approaches rock composition as if scoring for an orchestra, where the story can be felt through the harmony alone.
Rock instrumentation is seamlessly fused with baroque textures such as organ and harpsichord, alongside operatic vocals and dramatic compositions that twist and turn like chapters of a novel. This unique sound is complemented by a theatrical visual style inspired by historical fashion and gothic fantasy, which further reinforces the artistic world created by the music.
