Over the years, I have had diverse musical experiences. In my teens and early 20s, I played guitar and sang in punk bands, then lead guitar in a surf band, and bass in a jazz band. Later, I became more involved in percussion, including the kit, djembes, dunduns, congas, and more. I have led an ensemble that plays West African music for over a decate, and played kit and sang in groups that played gypsy jazz, klezmer, and funk. Also, I have played congas in a latin group. I tend to write songs, parts, and arrangements for the groups in am in.
