ABOUT

I play traditional Afro Cuban rhythms on the Conga drums. I also play Cajon, Djembe, some bongo rhythms, bell, shaker. I have mostly played with popular music that allows room for the conga drums. Everything from full on bands to singer songwriters with guitar. I have enjoyed applying the rhythms I have learned to pop, rock, folk,Celtic,Country,Reggae and open to more genres. I can also sing (Tenor) back up and play and working on singing on lead on some songs.

Influences

Many influences, for Conga; Thomas Cruz, Pancho Sanchez, Bubatunde Olatunji (djembe) among many other teachers from Cuba, Togo, Guinea west Africa. My first influences for music otherwise come from rock and roll. I love pretty much most musical genres and open for new stuff.

EQUIPMENT

I have 7 Conga drums including a compact conga, 1 djembe, 1 set of Bongos,2 bells, shaker, 1 Cajon, cascara, tambourine, and various other percussion instruments. I have a drum kit. I have a Sure Beta 58 vocal mic and two Sure 57's. I have stands and cords as well and a Nice little Fishman Loundbox 100.
