ATTENTION BASSISTS! BASS PLAYER WANTED!!

Broken Nation is looking for a new bass player to join us as we take things to the next level – could that be you?

We are looking for an energetic and committed bassist between the ages of 30-50 who has solid rhythm, excellent timing, melodic awareness, and is adaptable to different musical styles and genres within the rock spectrum. A good sense of humour is a must, as is reliability. We value showing up and preparedness as much as we do creativity and originality. Vocal skills are not necessary, but a willingness to provide some background vocals would be super fab.

Our forte is ‘90s alternative, grunge, and hard rock, and we have recently started writing and playing originals with the goal of starting to perform live this summer. We have our own dedicated practice space in NE Calgary, with easy access from Deerfoot and TransCanada. There is a permanently setup PA system, making for a groovy plug-n-play space with a chill atmosphere that’s awesome for jamming, songwriting, and recording.

The band currently rehearses every Thursday, with additional practices based on availability. We look forward to solid twice-a-week rehearsals once our line-up is complete.
