I have been playing bass and guitar off and on for 25 years, but have gotten back to it much more seriously lately. Years ago, I was in two different metal/hard rock bands, doing mostly covers(Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd,early Metallica, etc..). I was the rhythm guitarist in the first band and the bass player in the second band. I am looking for people to play with and possibly start or join a band.
My main musical interests currently are rock, metal, classic country, and bluegrass.

Influences
My primary guitar influences include Alex Lifeson, Tony Iommi, Dave Murray, and David Gilmour. Other influences are Eric Clapton, SRV, and Albert Collins.
I am also big on Cat Stevens, Gordon Lightfoot, Lobo, and Simon and Garfunkel. Stuff my mother raised me on.
For bass playing, I am a fan of Geddy Lee, Geezer Butler, and Steve Harris. I also appreciate John Deacon, Jack Bruce, and John Paul Jones
While I do have my influences, I am in no way married to them, and am quite open to playing almost anything with anyone. Just enjoying the music and getting along are, for me, important priorities in a band.
I am also a fairly accomplished guitar/bass tech, and do all my own set-ups and modifications, as well as spending time learning a great deal more about recording and mixing music.
