I'm going to be transparent with you.

I'm tired of playing cover songs.

Not because I think there's anything wrong with them. Some of my favourite songs ever written are covers we've all played a hundred times.

I'm tired because somewhere along the way, I realized I was spending more time recreating other people's stories than telling my own.

For years, I chased the same thing most musicians chase. Learn the hits. Play the bars. Keep the dance floor moving. Collect the paycheck.

These days, that no longer excites me.

What excites me is creating something that feels real.

Writing songs that mean something.

Standing on a stage and playing music born of our own experiences, struggles, victories, and stories.

I've discovered something unexpected through writing original music. The songs I enjoy listening to the most are now the ones we've created ourselves. Not because they're perfect. Not because they're famous.

Because they're honest.

They sound like us.

That's why Blackwater Revue exists.

We're building a Southern Rock, Americana, Blues, and Soul project rooted in groove, storytelling, feel, and authenticity.

Think Blackberry Smoke, The Allman Brothers Band, Tom Petty, The Black Crowes, Chris Stapleton, CCR, The Band, and everything that lives somewhere between country roads, smoky bars, gospel harmonies, blues clubs, and front porch conversations.

Yes, we'll play covers.

But we'll play the covers we actually love.

The songs that move us.

The songs that make us want to pick up our instruments in the first place.

The goal isn't to become another cover band competing with every other cover band.

The goal is to build a band of like-minded musicians who want to create something meaningful while performing a collection of songs that fit the spirit of what we're building.

Right now, there are already 10 completed original songs, with more being written.

The current lineup includes a lead vocalist/guitarist and a lead/rhythm guitarist.

We're looking for:

• Drummer

More importantly, we're looking for people who believe:

• Great songs matter
• Groove beats flash
• Feel beats perfection
• Collaboration beats ego
• Music is about connection

This project is for musicians who still believe music can say something.

Musicians who love Southern Rock, Blues, Soul, Americana, and Country Rock.

Musicians who would rather build something they're proud of than spend another weekend playing songs they don't care about.

We're not trying to become the biggest band.

We're trying to become somebody's favourite band.
