I have been playing for over 30 years, started when I was 13 years old in Montreal. Played for many years in a band called Matrix in the Montreal Scene. I was recently the guitar player for a local Ottawa Reggae band and for a cover band doing classic rock and some originals.
I am a guitar and amp repair guy so I know a lot of the local Ottawa music community and love to talk guitars and amps.......guitar geek for sure.
I recently completed 3 years of Berkley and have a Professional Guitar diploma.
I love to work with folks who can stay focused and work out the parts that need to be fixed. I also am all about doing our own interpretations/versions of songs and not fixated on sounding like the CD.....which was created in a studio and near impossible to replicate. I am about the whole song, not just as a segue to the guitar solo.

Influences
My first big influence was Johnny Winter. Loved his approach and style. I am pretty conversant in many players but i have to say that My current favourite is Joe Bonamassa. Not only his playing but his approach to success and the fact that he is a true guitar geek.
I will play most genres if the song is a good one and challenges me.

EQUIPMENT
I love to collect and trade vintage instruments and I am a huge fan of anything that is well made.
