BAD NEIGHBOURS SEEKS TALENTED BASS PLAYER
Hey fellow musicians! Bad Neighbours is a talented and entertaining Guelph-based part-time professional band. Our sets consist of high energy cover rock, blues, alternative and a few country songs, along with 6 originals and counting. The 3 of us range in age from 44-48 and the material reflects our tastes which span the late 60s to present.
We play about 1-2 shows per month, and practice at our studio space almost every Wed., from 8pm-11pm. Due to our busy schedules you must be available for this time slot too.
We’ve been operational since March, 2014 and have enjoyed some success, having now played 16 shows and also having released a single on iTunes. See our facebook page and website for more info: www.bad-neighbours.com
Here’s what we’re looking for:
You need to be able to learn material on your own and come to practice, shows, and recording sessions prepared.
You need to be willing and able to play the material already in our sets and going forward you’ll have an equal say in choosing new material.
The person who makes the band needs to be easy to get along with and a good communicator, who can be open with us about their ideas while also considering ours.
Ideally you should live in Guelph or within 30 minutes of us.
Vocal ability would be a plus, but your bass playing ability is the thing that matters most.
Volume hogs need not apply! A truly good musician has the ability to deliver a balanced sound so that the audience is entertained.
