Recently unemployed! Okay let's round this profile out. I'm 30ish, I've always loved music and consider it a "primary" entertainment. What I mean by that is that I can sit down and focus on just listening to music. The first song I really liked was "Unskinny Bop" by Poison. I literally wore multiple tapes out because it's all I wanted to listen to. Since then I've continued to like heavy music and finally decided to start playing.

I've only been playing bass for couple months, I used rocksmith to learn actually. I got so into playing I decided to pick up a cheap 6 string and give it a try too so I can technically play guitar, but not well.

My primary influences are a lot of Neue Deutsche Härte bands. And I'd honestly like to play something similar to that genre (industrial metal). I'm not worried about playing live anytime soon. I just want to write some good songs with people and get something out there.

I have a project along those lines started with a good friend of mine and we're working on a couple things. I've got 0 music theory going for me and write things by feel and sound.

Now, granted I haven't reached out to anyone yet, but am I barking up the wrong tree with the genre I want to create?
