What I'm looking for:
I am new to Vancouver and am seeking people to play with me, create music to the songs I have already written, and have yet to write. You guys will have a lot of creative freedom! I may have you guys do the music on my album, and come to open mics or gigs with me!
About Me:
Amy is a singer song writer who was born and raised in the tiny village of Clayton, Ontario. Her talent was realized in a 3rd grade talent show, and from then on she was asked to preform weekly at school assemblies. She has participated in many local singing competitions, always winning. Including at the age of 17, winning the Candid Country Music Competition for all of Ottawa.
After 11 years of vocal training, Amy has since grown to focus on writing her own material, and actively participates at Open Mics in Ottawa and surrounding areas in the Valley. You may also spot her singing at local fairs, and music festivals. She is currently writing and recording new material, and hopes to have an album out by late 2014.
"I have a very musical family. My grandfather was well known locally as the "Silver Fox" (Ron McMunn)." Ron, an inductee to the Ottawa Valley Country Music Hall of Fame has even made an appearance on the Grande Olde Opry in Nashville, Tennessee!
"My father Jeff McMunn and uncle Jamie McMunn also carry on the McMunn Music family tradition with their Country Music, they too are in the midst of recording an album. Music is in my blood, but I prefer to preform my own style of music."
